Four SBCC student-athletes signed national letters-of-intent on Friday during a Signing Ceremony at the Sports Pavilion.

Long Beach upends Vaqueros 3-1 in Regional opener

Josannah Vazquez had 19 kills and hit .545, leading No. 10 Long Beach to a 3-1 upset of No. 7 SBCC on Tuesday night in the opening round of the Southern Cal Regional at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-16, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18.

No. 3 Canyons hands No. 15 Vaqueros first home loss

Emily Burns had 19 kills and a .366 hitting percentage on Wednesday night, leading No. 3 Canyons to a 3-1 women’s volleyball victory over No. 15 SBCC at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 25-15.

SBCC dominated the end of all three sets to the tune of 27-4 on Friday night, propelling the 17th-ranked Vaqueros to a 25-17, 25-20, 25-16 sweep of No. 16 Moorpark at the Sports Pavilion.

SBCC is all aces in 3-0 sweep of Hancock

SBCC turned in one of the most dominating performances in school history on Friday night in a 25-7, 25-5, 25-2 women’s volleyball sweep of Hancock at the Sports Pavilion. The 14 points are one of the lowest totals ever allowed by a Vaquero team.

No. 23 Moorpark surprises No. 6 Vaqueros, 3-1

Moorpark won the first two sets by a total of five points on Wednesday night and went on to upset No. 6 SBCC 3-1 in a WSC North women’s volleyball match. The scores at Moorpark were 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 26-24.

Carolyn Andrulis, Kaylene Ureno and Karissa Mertens combined for 35 kills, 24 digs and nine aces on Friday night as SBCC defeated L.A. Mission 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-15, 25-15) for its 10th straight women’s volleyball victory.
