A pair of SBCC singles players moved into the Round of 16 and a doubles team reached the quarterfinals on Friday in the WSC Women’s Tennis Championships at Ventura College.

Lesley Zapata De Lira outlasted Veronika Galstyan to win the No. 3 singles point, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6, capped by a marathon 17-15 tiebreaker.
