Fesembeck to play for Argentina in Pan Am Games

SBCC water polo star Rocio Fesembeck will play for Argentina in the Pan American Games, which start next week in Toronto.

Fesembeck, a former Santa Barbara High star, scored 111 goals for the Vaqueros in the fall of 2014 and led them to a WSC championship in their first season. She was named Player of the Year in the conference.

Fesembeck, who has dual citizenship in the United States and Argentina, previously played on the Argentine Junior National Team. She will play water polo for Cal State East Bay in the fall.

Argentina is in Pool A for the Pan Am Games along with the United States, Cuba and Mexico. Argentina opens against Mexico on July 8, then faces Cuba on July 9 and the USA on July 11. The United States team includes three players from the cities of Santa Barbara and Goleta – Kami Craig, Sami Hill and Kiley Neushul.
