Visser is SBART Athlete of the Week

Rachelle Visser was selected female Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table. She received her award on Monday during the weekly press luncheon at Harry's Plaza Café.

The sophomore swimmer from Amersfoort, Holland, was a three-time winner in the Western State Conference Championships, setting meet and school records in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 butterfly. She also swam anchor on the victorious 400 medley relay.

In their second season of competition, the Vaqueros won the WSC title by 110 points over Cuesta.

SBCC will compete in the State Championships on April 30 and May 1-2 at East L.A. College.

Trevor Moropoulos, the son of SBCC football coach Craig Moropoulos, was named male Athlete of the Week. Trevor is a pitcher/first baseman on the Santa Barbara High baseball team.
