Visser named SBART Athlete of the Week

Rachelle Visser has been chosen female Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table. She received her award on Monday during the weekly press luncheon at Harry's Plaza Café.

Visser, a freshman from Amersfoot, Holland, was a three-time winner in WSC No. 2 at Santa Monica. She captured the 50-yard free (25.96), 100 butterfly (1:01.26) and 100 backstroke (1:02.79), which were all season-best times.

She's won five events in the first two WSC meets and finished second out of 63 swimmers in the season-opening WSC Pentathlon.

The Vaqueros will host their first-ever women's swim meet on Friday, March 28 when WSC No. 3 takes place at San Marcos High, starting at 2:30 p.m.
