7 Vaqueros make Academic All-State

Seven players from the SBCC men's and women's soccer teams have been named to the 2015 CCCAA Academic All-State squad.

Six are from the women's team – Kaitlyn Crooker, Jaclyn Hollmer, Chiara Kehl, Hannah Martin, Karin Nordin and Gabriella Sole. Martin was SBCC's female Scholar-Athlete of the year in 2014-15 and Crooker was the female Student-Athlete of the Year.

Simon Sebbah, a sophomore from Paris, France, was All-Academic for the men and he's the only one who's playing for the Vaqueros this year.

To qualify for the award, student-athletes must have played one season of soccer with at least 24 units and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
