SBCC fell behind 2-0 after 12 minutes on Tuesday and Canyons went on to post a 5-0 women's soccer victory in a non-conference game at Santa Clarita.
"It was just an off-day for us and unfortunately that happens," said coach John Sisterson. "I don't know if it was because we were off for 10 days or what. We had a hard time adjusting to the bumpiness of their natural-grass field."
Canyons (3-1-2) added goals in the 49th, 79th and 81st minutes. The Vaqueros are 2-3-1.
Santa Barbara will host L.A. Valley on Friday at 2 p.m.
