Women’s Basketball Boasts Six Athletic Transfers, Second-Most on State List
By Jimmy Friery
Six members of the 2025-26 Santa Barbara City College Women's Basketball team are moving on to continue their athletic endeavors at four-year colleges. That number is tied for the second-most in the state, announced by the California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCWBCA) in its annual transfer list on Thursday.
In total, 124 student-athletes across the state from this past season will compete at four-year colleges. That alone is a ringing endorsement for the quality of competition at the 3C2A level—and adds even more substance to the Vaqueros' (21-8, 10-2) great season.
Only Laney College, who boasts seven transfers, had more than Santa Barbara. State champion San Joaquin Delta and quarterfinalist Cypress are also transferring six student-athletes.
Western State Conference (WSC) North Most Outstanding Player Maleyni Tolliver is moving from Moorpark College to Division I San Jose State.
The Vaqueros' representatives on the list are:
Felitsa Adil, Concordia University Texas
Evette Allen, Lesley University (Mass.)
Aariah Fox, Chaminade University of Honolulu
Siena Hoban, Lesley University (Mass.)
Kaylee Lawson, Cal Poly Humboldt
Kenedy Nutter, Sarah Lawrence College (N.Y.)
