Six Vaqueros Earn All-Conference Softball Honors
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Six Santa Barbara City College softball players were recognized with All-Western State Conference North honors following the conclusion of the 2024 season.
Alena Johnson and Mia Reveles earned First Team All-Conference selections. Johnson, a versatile pitcher and utility player, led the Vaqueros with a .500 batting average, adding two home runs, two triples, and 24 RBIs. In the circle, she started 15 games, posting a 6-7 record with one save and 47 strikeouts.
Reveles, an electrifying outfielder known for highlight-reel catches, hit .381 with three home runs, three triples, and four doubles. She also swiped 14 bases in 16 attempts over 17 games.
Middle infielders Mia Gaitan and Katelyn Lisi were named to the Second Team. Gaitan, the team's shortstop, batted .382 with 10 RBIs, while Lisi hit .314, driving in 11 runs and stealing six bases.
Morgan Grove and Miate Juarez received Honorable Mention nods. Grove, a third baseman, batted .308 with nine RBIs. Juarez, an outfielder, hit .324, scored 12 runs, and stole five bases.
SBCC finished the season 9-8 overall and 8-6 in WSC North play.
