Jacob Schroder and Ytxzae Enriquez placed 67th and 77th in the Southern Cal Championships on Friday to earn spots in the State Championships at Fresno.
Jake Schroder was the top finisher for SBCC, completing the course in 24:11 to place 24th out of 86 runners in the Western State Conference Championships to qualify for the Southern California Championships in two weeks. Ytxzae Enriquez (24:20, 27th place) and Ethan Clark (25:36, 40th place) also qualified for the regional championships after running well at Cuesta College Friday.
SBCC sent out four runners in Friday’s WSC Preview at Legg Lake Park in Whittier Narrows and they all ran PRs.
Jacob Schroder ran a season-best 23:06 on Friday to take eighth in the Bakersfield Invitational at Kern County Soccer Park.
