Evan Yoshimoto had 17 kills and Nick May added 16 on Wednesday night but SBCC still dropped a 3-1 men's volleyball match at Moorpark. The scores were 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 25-18.
"They're a really scrappy team and they cover well when their hitters get blocked," said coach Matt Jones. "They know how to extend rallies and we just made too many errors."
Carl Mendoza made 10 digs, Corey McDown had 26 assists and To'o To'o recorded five blocks for the Vaqueros (8-10, 3-8 WSC). Moorpark is 9-9 and 6-5.
"We were out-worked and they were scrappier," Jones added.
The Vaqueros will host Long Beach on Friday at 6 p.m. in their final match of the season.
