Vaqueros Drop Close Game to Antelope Valley

It was a single-possession game late in the second half, but the Antelope Valley Marauders persevered to a 57-47 win over Santa Barbara on Friday, November 8.

James Reach led the Vaqueros scoring with 14 points. He also added three rebounds and three assists. Ajani "AJ" Reid contributed nine points and six boards, along with an electrifying dunk late in the first half. William Pace added eight points, five rebounds and three steals. Off the bench, Julian Hicks helped the Vaqueros with nine assists, and Kyle Haughy chipped in six rebounds. Malik Larane and Mister Burnside paced Antelope Valley with 14 points each.

The Vaqueros fell to 0-2 on the season. They will look to earn their first win on Wednesday, November 13, at Victor Valley and return home to face LA City College on Saturday, November 16, at 5:00 p.m. in the Sports Pavilion.
