Instructors

** Jeff Walker, SBCC Head Baseball Coach. Former Division I Baseball Assistant Coach, Professional Scout (Colorado Rockies), 2012 Western State Conference Coach of the Year. Over 80 former players drafted by professional baseball and 10 have made it to the majors.

** Chris Lasaca, SBCC Hitting/Infield Coach. Former Division I, II Baseball Assistant Coach. Has Coached at the Collegiate Level for 25 years

** Justin Aspegren, SBCC Pitching Coach. Former SBCC/UCSB All-Conference Pitcher. Coached in the Prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League and was Pitching Coach for 2014 NBC Champion Santa Barbara Foresters. Has coached more than 40 pitchers who have been drafted by professional baseball teams.

The Program

  Santa Barbara City College has emerged as one of the top California Community College Baseball programs in California, due largely to the outstanding coaching staff. The Vaqueros have made four straight playoff appearances and won 2 of the last 4 Western State Conference North Division titles. SBCC has earned status as an elite Southern California Program and is nationally recognized by Perfect game as a top National Junior College.
  The Coaches at Santa Barbara City College have all played Division I baseball, Coached Division I Baseball and tutored over 200 players who have been drafted by professional baseball teams. With more than 40 total years of college coaching experience, the goal of our staff is to pass on the knowledge, experience, and fundamentals while creating an exciting and fun environment.
