The Royals won three consecutive Channel League titles from 2021-2023, breaking the team’s 26-year championship drought. Coach Wes threw batting practice to professional and college players. He has also directed over 15 Nike Baseball summer camps that are attended by players from across the country.

Prior to his coaching career, Coach Wes was born and raised in Santa Barbara and graduated from San Marcos High School in 2014. He played four years of baseball, football and basketball and was a First Team All-Channel League member and captain in all three sports. Coach Wes opted to play baseball under Coach Walker at SBCC over offers to play football at the next level.

Coach Wes was the starting shortstop for the Vaqueros during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, earning First Team All-Conference honors and the Conference Gold Glove Award. After three years at SBCC, Coach Wes earned a scholarship to play at CSU Northridge. As a Matador, he earned Second Team All-Big West Honors in 2019 after leading the team in home runs as the starting shortstop.
