Meulman runs season-best 21:14 at So Cal Championships

Freshman Hannemijn Meulman posted a season-best 21:14 in the 5K women's race on Friday in the Southern Cal Cross Country Championships at Don Knabe Regional Park in Cerritos.

Meulman ran 14 seconds faster than she did two weeks ago in the WSC Championships and 66 seconds quicker than her time of 22:20 in the So Cal Preview on Sept. 14 on the same Don Knabe course.

She finished 95th in a field of 177 runners.

L.A. Harbor took the team title with 53 points, easily outdistancing Mt. SAC (110) and Glendale (122).

Brenda Rosales Coria of L.A. Harbor won the race in 17:15. Samantha Barajas of Moorpark was second in 17:26.
