Glendale handed SBCC its second WSC women's tennis loss on Thursday with a 9-0 triumph at the Glendale courts.

Glendale (17-2, 13-0) won its 16th straight match. The SBCC Vaqueros fell to 13-4 and 11-2.

The closest match was No. 1 doubles where Katelyn Peyvandi and Gabrielle Goss erased a 7-3 deficit to tie the pro set at 8-8. Glendale won the tiebreaker 7-3 and the set 9-8.

"Our No. 1 doubles played smart and was able to show toughness by rallying to tie the match," said coach Christina Klein. "In No. 2 singles, Josephine Pulver almost rallied to a third set losing 6-1, 7-5. Overall, we played well as a team, we were just out-played."

The Vaqueros, who've wrapped up second place in the conference, will complete the regular season by hosting Bakersfield on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
